Ruscus is greenery that never asks for attention. A slim stem, small pointed leaves set in pairs, the whole branch light enough to move with the air.
We didn't imitate the plant. We kept it. Preserved while still soft, bleached to a pale creme, every leaf and every branch left as it grew.
Five stems in a tall vase, leaning apart. Or tucked between pampas and Lagurus, as the quiet white that links them.
No water. No wilting. No falling leaves. Only the same pale tone, season after season.
