Phalaris is grass in its most graphic form. A thin, straight stem, a small oval head, each one layered like feathers or fine scales, pale as linen.
We didn't colour the grass. We kept it. Dried slowly, left in its own cream tone, every head a slightly different shape.
One bunch in a tall vase, heads at uneven heights. Or tucked into a low arrangement as the quiet texture around it.
No water. No colour added. Only the same soft cream, year after year.
