The palm, folded. A single leaf, pleated like paper into a pointed fan, mounted on a slim pale stem. Each fold catches the light differently.
We didn't imitate the leaf. We kept it. Dried slowly, left in its own cream tone, every pleat and every edge a little different from the next.
Five in a low vase, fanned wide. Or one, against a wall, as a sculptural line.
No water. No colour added. Only the same quiet cream, year after year.
